‘Call Me Ishmeal!’
Harpoon in hand we take a journey through London’s Southern Hemisphere into the depths of Brixton. To Ghost Whale.
Ghost Whale has only been open for seemingly a blink of an eye but is already making waves (OK I'm gonna stop with the seafaring puns now.) The place really gives a feel that it’s a passion project first and a business second. All the staff really live and breathe beer and have encyclopaedic knowledge of our favourite drop. A lot of care has gone into orchestrating their extensive beer list and New Zealand Brews sit proudly amongst the movers and shakers of the UK, Scandinavian and US brewing scenes.
Right now Yeastie Boys and Tuatara are gracing the shelves as well as bottles of the hard to find WXY2 super juicy XPIPA 7% Yeastie Boys and Wylam Collab. If they have any left it’s the perfect beer to enjoy in the sun and come April you can with the opening of their beer garden.
Ghost Whale go above and beyond curating monthly/quarterly beer boxes for their Beer Club and with 300+ bottles and cans to choose from it really is a labour of love. It’s not just bottles, with 4 always changing taps and a growler filler there's no excuse not to sail down (back to the puns!) to 70 Atlantic Road, Brixton to drink some FRESH AS FUCK KIWI BEER!
