Yeastie Boys

The Yeastie Boys - Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie are the dynamic duo of New Zealand's craft beer scene. They burst onto the beer landscape with two trophies for their flagship porter Pot Kettle Black at BrewNZ 2009 and have remained firmly ensconced there ever since.
Yeastie Boys UK beers are brewed right here in the UK and are available in can and keg.

Seasonal Range

Yeastie Boys UK | Core | Seasonal | Vintage & Barrel

Style - Session Beer
ABV - 4.0%
Available - 330ml Bottle, Keg

A sessionable earl grey pale ale, inspired by the common complaint from Gunnamatta drinkers: “I just wish I could find some way of drinking more of the stuff”. We slashed the booze, halved the tea, and doubled the puns to create a perfect sessionable balance. Heirloom orange and floral notes entice you in on the nose, and are followed by a clean malt profile carrying a hint of tropical fruit, before giving way to the fresh hop finish and lengthy floral tea notes on the palate.

Style - Imperial Earl Grey IPA
ABV - 8.0%
Available - 330ml Bottle, Keg

A double version of Yeastie Boys’ famous Gunnamatta Earl Grey IPA that was the champion beer at the first Great Australian Beer Spectacular. Five years later, they’ve doubled down to celebrate in this one off special drop.

Style - Pale Black IPA
ABV - 6.0%
Available - 330ml Bottle, Keg

What if a Black IPA wasn’t actually black? Slip into the matrix with PKB Remix 2016 - the world’s first Pale Black IPA. When our flagship beer Pot Kettle Black was released 8 years ago it was lauded as something special and completely new, a Black IPA...

Every year we keep the experimental spirit of PKB alive by remixing it. For the latest version we decided to turn the Black IPA juxtaposition on its head by creating the world’s first Pale Black IPA. Everything else is the same as the standard Pot Kettle Black, we’ve just removed the dark malts.

Style - Smoke IPA
ABV - 6.5%

Available - 330ml Bottle, Keg

Hellzapoppin’ is a chock-full of Gladfield Manuka-smoked malt, Sauvin and Rakau from NZ Hops, and a warming dose of Peach Bhut and Fatalii from Fire Dragon Chillies. Do not fear the chilli, as it is not at all the fiery beast you may imagine it to be. The idea is to warm you from the inside out, rather than set your mouth on fire. Feel the warmth grow as you work your way through a glass.
